About
Two Minute Games is a small, independent collection of daily puzzles, made in England. Everyone gets the same puzzles each day, and each one takes about two minutes. There are no accounts and no sign-ups.
Where things come from
- Aperture objects are drawn for the game.
- Aperture Landmarks photos come from Wikimedia Commons. Each one is used under its own Creative Commons licence, and the photographer and licence show after every round. The full list is below.
- “On this day” facts are hand-picked from, or fetched from, Wikipedia’s “On this day”, shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. Each card links to the Wikipedia page for that date.
- Daily quotes are well-known sayings, proverbs and quotations, each credited to the person or work it comes from.
- Natural Wonders figures (lengths, areas, heights and borders) come from named public sources, listed inside each game.
Privacy
We keep this as light as we can.
- No accounts and no cookies. We never ask for your name or email address.
- On your own device the games keep your best times, your daily streak and your sound settings. This lives only in your browser’s storage. Clearing your browser data removes it.
- Anonymous counts. To see how many people play, each game adds one to a shared counter for visits, games finished and new players, plus a count for the country your device’s time zone points to. Nothing in these counts identifies you, and no list of visitors is kept. The counters are stored with Google Firebase.
- Bug reports you choose to send include your message, your type of device and browser, and where you were in the game. They don’t include your name or contact details unless you type them in.
- Other services. Fonts load from Google Fonts, Landmarks photos from Wikimedia and “On this day” facts from Wikipedia. As with any website, those services see your device’s internet address when your browser fetches from them.
